A wonderful clay in which oxides- like in the black clay- which work with the glaze while firing and thereby give unexpected color effects. After sgraffito on leather-hard skin the vases dried and were bisque fired at 980º. Thereafter they were dipped in layers with a semi matt white glaze and fired at 1140º.
On some of the vases I scratched off the glaze because of which the base of the body becomes visible again and is part of the final color palette. All the vases are glazed on the inside.
