It is a challenge to create smooth surfaces and to look for an overall simplicity.
In this project it is my focus to keep the lines clean and during the process it becomes more and more obvious, that ‘shape’ is the center of attention.
Continuing to practice and perfection the technique of working on the wheel and the search for my own design identity go hand in hand.
For this story I chose to work with white clay. The finish of the skin is smooth and after the bisque fire a thin layer of earthenware glaze has been sprayed on. I love the subtle sheen of the black glaze.
